Support for producers
About Producer's Support
The MEDIA Programme offers support for independent producers to cover the costs of development of European films, TV programmes and multimedia for single, slate and interactive projects. Support is given for fiction, creative documentary and animation films, as well as for interactive works for computers, Internet, mobile phones, games consoles including handheld mobile devices and new format concepts for digital television, the Internet or mobile handsets.
Foundations, institutes, universities, NGOs, clusters of companies and individual persons are not eligible for Single Project Development funding.
Programmes
Development - Single Project
Single Project Development funding is aimed at companies with a limited financial capacity wishing to invest in the development of just one project. Companies must have been registered for at least 12 months at the time of applying.
Development - Slate Funding
Slate Funding is aimed at medium-sized companies which must be registered for at least 3 years, already have experience at an international level and have the financial capacity to contemplate the simultaneous development of several projects.
Development - Interactive Projects
Interactive works for computers, Internet, mobile phones, games consoles including handheld mobile devices presenting interactivity, scenario (narrative structure) and innovation.
i2i Audiovisual
The i2i scheme supports production companies which use bank financing and/or completion bonds to finance their films.
TV Broadcasting
The TV Broadcasting scheme supports independent producers in producing TV programmes with the involvement of several European broadcasters.
