Berlinale Talents predstavlja program za razvoj talenata Međunarodnog filmskog festivala u Berlinu, a obuhvaća laboratorije za razvoj projekata, Berlinale Talents Lab i Talent Project Market te summit s panelima, diskusijama i mogućnostima umrežavanja koji se održavaju tijekom Berlinalea svake veljače.
Utemeljen 2003., Berlinale Talents predstavlja festivalski program razvoja talenata koji okuplja 200 najboljih svjetskih filmaša u usponu, kreatora dramskih serija i ključnih aktera kinematografske industrije. Program se sastoji od kreativnog summita s predavanjima, diskusijama, radionicama i brojnim događajima za umrežavanje, Berlinale Talents Laba za alumne programa s projektima u razvoju te Talent Project Marketa za producente – alumne Berlinale Talentsa – koji traže koprodukciju i/ili financiranje. Tijekom šest intenzivnih dana, od 13. do 18. veljače 2026., sudionici će imati pristup stotinama novih ideja, kao i razmjeni iskustava s brojnim istomišljenicima.
Uz poveznice s poslovnim i umjetničkim aspektom festivala, Summit Berlinale Talents predstavlja šestodnevno događanje u Berlinu te kroz niz javnih razgovora, radionica i rasprava potiče razmjenu o filmovima, njihovim vrijednostima za naše društvo i njihovu podrijetlu. Berlinale Talents Lab i Talent Project Market održavaju se tijekom Berlinalea, s dodatnim online pripremnim sesijama od sredine siječnja. Svaki sudionik sudjelovat će na detaljnim individualnim sesijama s cijenjenim mentorima – iskusnim filmašima, producentima ili urednicima scenarija – koji će im pružiti detaljne povratne informacije i smjernice. Uz ove personalizirane sastanke održat će se i sesije namijenjene razmjeni iskustava među kolegama te razne mogućnosti umrežavanja za raspravu o projektima s kolegama filmašima i stručnjacima iz industrije. Tijekom samog Berlinalea, sudionici laboratorija također će prisustvovati Berlinale Talents Summitu, gdje će imati mogućnost predstaviti svoje projekte međunarodnoj publici koju čine filmaši i stručnjaci.
Berlinale Talents namijenjen je iskusnim filmskim i televizijskim profesionalcima koji žele podijeliti svoja iskustva s drugima. Da bi ispunili uvjete, kandidati moraju imati barem jedan dugometražni film, dva kratka filma, visokokvalitetnu dramsku seriju ili TV film koji su prikazivani na festivalima ili široko emitirani. Kandidati koji se žele prijaviti kao distributeri, prodajni agenti ili dizajneri publike trebali su biti uključeni u distribuciju ili prodaju najmanje dva dugometražna filma ili biti odgovorni za kino prostor odnosno festival, primjerice kao kustosi. Oni koji se prijavljuju kao kritičari trebali bi redovito i profesionalno objavljivati filmske članke, intervjue ili eseje.
Važno je napomenuti da je Berlinale Talents usmjeren na profesionalce s postojećim iskustvom, a ne na one koji tek započinju karijeru u industriji. Studenti se primaju samo u iznimnim slučajevima, primjerice ako su prethodno profesionalno radili u filmskom sektoru.
Filmaši s dokumentarnim, igranim ili dramskim serijama, uključujući kratke forme te VR, XR i cross-media projekte u fazi scenarija mogu se prijaviti na Berlinale Talents Lab, dok se producenti s potpuno razvijenim dugometražnim filmskim projektima koji traže koprodukciju i/ili financiranje mogu prijaviti na Talent Project Market.
Prijave se podnose putem web stranice BerlinalePRO, a rok za prijavu je 3. rujna 2025.
Za Berlinale Talents ne plaća se naknada za sudjelovanje, no sudionici moraju pokriti troškove smještaja i putovanja te dnevne troškove tijekom boravka u Berlinu.
Budući da je Berlinale Talents inicijativa koju financiraju javna tijela, partneri iz industrije i vlastita zajednica, kako bi nastavio nuditi svoje usluge, svi prijavitelji doprinose naknadama za uslugu kao dio svoje prve prijave. Postoje tri stope naknade za uslugu prijave: standardna stopa od 20 eura, solidarni doprinos od 25+ eura te reducirana stopa od 15 eura.

Berlinale Talents is the talent development programme of the Berlin International Film Festival, with a project development lab, the Berlinale Talents Lab and the Talent Project Market, as wel as an onsite summit with panels, discussions and networking opportunities during the Berlinale each February.
Established in 2003, Berlinale Talents is the festival’s talent development programme for the world’s top 200 emerging filmmakers, drama series creators and key players of the cinema industry. It consists of a creative Summit with talks, discussions, workshops and numerous networking events, the Berlinale Talents Lab for Berlinale Talents alumni with projects in development and the Talent Project Market for Berlinale Talents producer alumni seeking co-production and/or financing. During six packed days, from 13-18 February 2026, the participants will come into contact with hundreds of new ideas and numerous like-minded people.
With links to both the business and artistic components of the festival, the Summit of Berlinale Talents is a six-day onsite event and through a series of public talks, workshops and discussions, encourages exchange about films, their values for our society and how they came into being. The Berlinale Talents Lab and Talent Project Market take place onsite during the Berlinale, with additional preparation sessions online from mid-January. Each participant receives in-depth one-on-one sessions with esteemed mentors—experienced filmmakers, producers or story editors—who offer detailed feedback and guidance. In addition to these personalized meetings, there are also peer-to-peer exchange sessions, various networking opportunities to discuss the projects with fellow filmmakers and industry professionals. During the Berlinale, the lab participants also attend the Berlinale Talents Summit and present their projects to the international Berlinale Talents audiences of filmmakers and experts.
Berlinale Talents is aimed at film and television professionals with an existing track record of work and who are willing to share their experiences with others. To be eligible, the applicants need to have made at least one feature-length film OR two short films OR a high-quality drama series or TV movie that have screened in festivals or been widely streamed. Applicants wishing to apply as a distributor, sales agent or audience designer should have been involved in either the distribution or sale of at least two feature-length films or be responsible for a cinema space or festival, e.g. as a curator. Finally, those who are applying as a critic, should be publishing film-related articles, interviews or essays on a regular and professional basis.
It is important to note that Berlinale Talents is aimed at working professionals with specific levels of experience behind them, rather than those taking their very first steps in the industry. Students are only admitted in very exceptional cases, e.g. if they have previously worked in the film business.
Filmmakers with documentary, fiction film or drama series projects, including short form and VR, XR and cross-media projects, at script level may apply to the Berlinale Talents Lab, while producers with fully developed feature-length film projects seeking co-production and/or financing may apply for the Talent Project Market.
Applications are made through the BerlinalePRO website, while the application deadline is September 3, 2025!
There's no participation fee for Berlinale Talents. If invited, the participants will have to cover their accommodation and travel costs as well as daily expenditures during their stay in Berlin.
As Berlinale Talents is an initiative funded by public entities, partners from the industry and its own communities, in order for it to continue to offer its services, all applicants contribute a service fee as part of their first application. There are three rates for the application Service fee: the Standard Rate of 20 Euro, the Solidarity Rate of 25 Euro or more, and the Reduced Rate of 15 Euro.
