MIDPOINT Cold Open program je profesionalnog usavršavanja osmišljen za nezavisne producente koji žele prijeći s produkcije dugometražnih filmova na razvoj i produkciju igranih serija. Sudionici će imati priliku raditi s renomiranim stručnjacima i umrežiti se s gostima koprodukcijskog foruma When East Meets West.
Program uključuje niz predavanja, grupnih sesija i tematskih rasprava, a kako bi osigurao najvišu razinu edukacije, Cold Open surađuje s uglednim profesionalcima europske audiovizualne industrije.
Kroz praktična znanja iz područja razvoja, produkcije i financiranja dramskih serija u Europi, program sudionicima omogućuje da: steknu uvid u aktualne trendove i prioritete europske industrije, usporede narativne i konceptualne strukture između igranih filmova i serija, razviju konkretne vještine u financiranju i distribuciji scenariziranog serijskog sadržaja.
Ovaj intenzivni trodnevni program dio je industrijskog segmenta koprodukcijskog foruma When East Meets West i održat će se od 18. do 20. siječnja 2026. u Trstu (Italija).
Prijave su otvorene za neovisne europske producente s iskustvom u produkciji igranih filmova koji žele razvijati vrhunske serijske projekte.

Prijavna dokumentacija uključuje: osobni profil, profil produkcijske kuće, motivacijsko pismo, pitch serije (nije obavezno).
Kotizacija za sudjelovanje u programu iznosi 250 eura po sudioniku i pokriva akreditaciju, školarinu te dva ručka.
Putni troškovi i smještaj nisu uključeni.

MIDPOINT ColdOpen is designed to build skills among independent producers interested in moving from feature films to fiction series content, where they will have the opportunity to work with renowned experts and network with guests of the When East Meets West Co-Production Forum.
Within the programme, participants are offered a variety of lectures, group sessions and in-depth discussions. To ensure the most sophisticated approaches to training, ColdOpen works with established and respected professionals from the European industry.
Offering practical knowledge connected to the developing, producing and financing of drama series content in Europe, the program will familiarise its participants with the overall landscape and priorities of the industry, compare narrative and concept structures between features and scripted series, and provide hands-on skills in the financing and distribution of scripted series content.
This one-offevent is embedded within the diverse industry program of When East MeetsWest Co-production Forum and will take place from January 18-20, 2026 inTrieste, Italy.
This programtargets independent European producers who have background in feature-film producing and wish to move into high-end series content.

The participation fee for the programme is 250 euros per participant for the entire session. The fee includes accreditation, tuition fee, and two lunches.Travel costs and accommodation are not included.
