MIDPOINT Feature Launch profesionalni je program usavršavanja namijenjen razvoju scenarija i projekata za kreativne timove te ambiciozne savjetnike za scenarije koji prepoznaju važnost timskog rada.
Program omogućuje timovima scenarista, redatelja i producenata da unaprijede svoj dugometražni projekt te razviju strategiju financiranja, marketinga, prodaje, distribucije i predstavljanja. Sudionici će imati priliku surađivati s uglednim europskim i međunarodnim profesionalcima, steći dragocjenu međunarodnu povratnu informaciju od mentora i kolega, istražiti aktualne trendove u filmskoj industriji te predstaviti svoj projekt i umrežavati se na Međunarodnom filmskom festivalu u Karlovim Varyma.
Istovremeno, pripravnici savjetnika za scenarije steći će jedinstveno iskustvo rada na stvarnim projektima u sigurnom i poticajnom okruženju uz stručno vodstvo mentora. Razvijat će svoje vještine uređivanja scenarija i komunikacijske sposobnosti, naučiti kako davati konstruktivne povratne informacije te usavršiti analitički pristup pisanju izvješća o scenarijima za filmske fondove i druge institucije. Također će naučiti kako se profesionalno predstaviti kao konzultanti za scenarije te će se imati priliku umrežiti i predstaviti na Međunarodnom filmskom festivalu u Karlovim Varyma.
Program započinje online Feedback sesijom za timove s projektom (5.–8. siječnja 2026.), nakon koje slijedi online pripremni seminar za pripravnike savjetnika za scenarije.Prva radionica održat će se od 15. do 21. ožujka 2026. u Pragu (Češka), nakon čega slijede online konzultacije od travnja do lipnja 2026. Druga radionica, organizirana u suradnji s Međunarodnim filmskim festivalom u Karlovim Varyma, održat će se od 1. do 8. srpnja 2026. u Pragu i Karlovim Varyma (Češka), dok će se završna radionica održati od 21. do 27. rujna 2026. u Plzenu (Češka), u suradnji s festivalom Finále Plzeň.
Producenti uključeni u program mogu se dodatno prijaviti na radionicu za producente, organiziranu u suradnji s EAVE-om, koja će se održati u studnom 2026. u Solunu (Grčka). Tijekom četiri dana polaznici će dodatno ojačati svoju konkurentsku prednost, poboljšati održivost svog poslovanja te, kroz povratne informacije i individualne mentorske sesije, dobiti izravnu podršku u rješavanju izazova na dinamičnom filmskom tržištu.
MIDPOINT Feature Launch namijenjen je kreativnim timovima scenarista i/ili redatelja prvog ili drugog dugometražnog filma te producenta (maksimalno tri sudionika po timu) koji dolaze pretežito iz srednje i istočne Europe.

Nakon prvog kruga prijava bit će odabrano 20 projekata, čiji će timovi dobiti detaljnu online procjenu od dva iskusna profesionalca (konzultanta za scenarij i producenta). Na temelju tih procjena, 9 projekata bit će odabrano za sudjelovanje u Feature Launch 2026 programu.
Kotizacija za online Feedback sesije iznosi 100 eura, dok je kotizacija za radionice 1.800 eura po sudioniku. Kotizacija uključuje smještaj, prehranu i školarinu tijekom rezidencijalnih radionica, dok putni troškovi nisu uključeni.
Kotizacija za prateću radionicu za producente iznosi 300 eura.

MIDPOINT Feature Launch is a professional script- and project-development programme for creative teams and aspiring script consultants who believe in the importance of teamwork.
This training programme will enable teams of writers, directors and producers to move their feature film project to the next level and create a financing, marketing, sales, distribution or pitching strategy for their project, as well as to work with some of the most established European and international creators and professionals. This way, the participants will get unique professional international feedback from tutors and their peers, while exploring the current film industry landscape and trends and having the opportunity to pitch their project and network at Karlovy Vary IFF.
On the other hand, script-consultant trainees will get unique experience and possibility to work on real projects, while taking advantage of safe environment & thorough guidance of an experienced mentor. In addition, they will enhance their script editing and communication skills, learn to give constructive feedback and master their analytic craft of writing script reports for film funds, cultural & other funding organisations. Finally, they will learn how to present themselves as a script consultant and they will have the opportunity to pitch themselves and network at Karlovy Vary IFF.
The programme begins with an online Feedback Session for teams with project (January 5-8, 2026), followed by an online Preparatory Seminar for Script Consultant Trainees. The first workshop will take place from March 15-21, 2026, in Prague, Czech Republic, after which participants will engage in online consultations from April-June 2026. The second workshop, organised in collaboration with the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, will take place from July 1-8, 2026, in Prague and Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, while the final workshop is scheduled for September 21-27, 2026, in Pilsen, Czech Republic, in collaboration with the Finále Plzeň.
Participating producers can engage in the follow-up workshop for producers, organised in collaboration with EAVE, which will take place in November 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Over four days, participants will sharpen their competitive advantage and enhance the viability of their businesses. Feedback rounds and individual mentoring sessions will offer direct support to tackle the challenges they are facing as film professionals in an ever-changing marketplace.
The programme targets creative teams of writer and/or director of first or second feature film, and producer (max. of 3 participants per team) coming primarily from Central and Eastern Europe.
To apply for the program, applicants need to create an account on the MIDPOINT Visitor Page and follow the instructions within the submission form. The application materials consist of basic information about the project, synopsis, script or treatment, motivation video, author's statement, preliminary financing plan, producers statement, production company profile, previous work of the director, photos and professional biographies of all team members and moodboard (optional). Application deadline is October 13, 2025!
Approx. 20 projects will be selected after the first round of application procedure, and their creative teams will receive a detailed online assessment from two experienced professionals (script consultant and producer). Based on this assessment, 9 projects will be selected for the Feature Launch 2026 programme.
The participation fee for online Feedback sessions is 100 euros, while the fee for workshops is 1.800 euros per participant. The fee includes accommodation, board, and tuition during the residential workshops, while travel costs are not included. The fee for the follow-up workshop for producers is 300 euros.
