TFL ScriptLab je devetomjesečni program profesionalnog usavršavanja posvećen razvoju igranih filmova – originalnih ideja i adaptacija – u njihovim rani(ji)m fazama razvoja.
Program okuplja nove i iskusne filmaše iz cijelog svijeta, koji kroz grupni rad i uz podršku profesionalnih savjetnika za scenarije razvijaju svoje projekte.
U programu će sudjelovati 16 projekata u razvoju, podijeljenih u četiri grupe, a svaku će voditi mentor s bogatim iskustvom u savjetovanju o scenarijima. Tijekom godine, projekti će se razvijati kroz obogaćujuće iskustvo zajedničkog rada i razmjene ideja, dijeleći ovu kreativnu fazu pisanja s drugim filmašima u grupi.Uz grupne diskusije, program uključuje i individualne (1:1) sesije s mentorom, usmjerene na praćenje napretka svakog projekta.
ScriptLab također nudi masterclassove na kojima će se sudionici susresti s profesionalcima iz industrije i razgovarati o:
Program će kulminirati završnom prezentacijom projekata tijekom TFL Meeting Eventa u studenome. Svi sudionici predstavit će svoje projekte – zajedno sa svojim producentom (ako ga imaju) – međunarodnoj publici producenata, prodajnih agenata i drugih profesionalaca iz industrije, te će imati priliku za sastanke jedan-na-jedan s donositeljima odluka.
Radionica je strukturirana kroz tri rezidencijalna i dva online modula, koji će se održati prema sljedećem rasporedu:
ScriptLab je otvoren za nove i iskusne scenariste, redatelje ili timove scenarista i redatelja iz cijelog svijeta. Moguće je prijaviti se pojedinačno ili kao tim od dvoje, ali projekti scenarista bez pridruženog redatelja nisu prihvatljivi.
Uz projekt nije obavezan producent, dok kandidati koji prijavljuju adaptaciju moraju imati osigurana autorska prava. Važno je napomenuti da je ScriptLab namijenjen isključivo projektima u ranoj fazi razvoja – projekti koji već imaju dovršen nacrt scenarija neće biti razmatrani.
Prije početka prijave, kandidati trebaju kreirati račun na TFL Visitor Pageu i priložiti sljedeće materijale:
Odabrani kandidati bit će obaviješteni 9. i 10. prosinca 2025. putem e-maila.Od njih će se tražiti da do 12. prosinca 2025. dostave tretman i osobnu videoporuku s ažuriranim statusom projekta (moodboard nije obavezan). Nakon predselekcije, kandidati koji uđu u uži izbor bit će obaviješteni početkom veljače te će biti intervjuirani putem Zooma u drugoj polovici veljače 2026.
Kotizacija za sudjelovanje na radionici iznosi 2.500 eura po osobi, uz dodatnu naknadu od 2.000 eura za drugog sudionika po projektu (koscenarist, redatelj). Iznos pokriva troškove obuke i smještaja, dok sudionici sami snose troškove putovanja.

ScriptLab isa training programme focused on fiction feature films, both original ideas and adaptations, in early stages of development where both experienced and emerging filmmakers from all over the world develop their projects through peer-to-peer group work, with the support of professional script consultants for the duration of nine months.
The programme welcomes 16 projects in a treatment stage that are selected to work in 4 groups, each guided by a tutor with wide experience as a script consultant. Throughout the year the projects are developed through the enriching experience of sharing this creative stage of the writing process with the other filmmakers in the group. To complement the peer-to-peer conversations, there are 1:1 sessions with the tutor as the project advances.
ScriptLab also offers masterclasses where the participants will meet with industry professionals to discuss the role of the creative producer in early development, contemporary choices for production and distribution, with a focus on digital alternatives, the craft of oral storytelling and working for a climate-conscious film industry.
A final presentation of the projects during the TFL Meeting Event inNovember concludes and completes the programme: all participants present their projects, together with their producer (if any), to an audience of specially invited international producers, sales agents and other film industry professionals, and have one-to-one meetings with DecisionMakers.

ScriptLab is open to both experienced and emerging writer/directors, or teams of writer and director, from all over the world. It is possible to apply as an individual or as a team of two (projects by a scriptwriter without an attached director are not eligible).
Also, it is not necessary to have a producer attached to the project, while filmmakers applying with an adaption project need to have secured the rights. It is also important to note that ScriptLab is for projects at an early stage of development only, thus projects who already have drafts of the screenplay, will not be considered.
Before starting the application process, applicants must create an account on the TFLVisitor Page, where it is necessary to submit the following requested materials: a project synopsis, a director’s intention note, CV, a link to a personal video message where you explain why the development process in ScriptLab would be important for your project at this stage, and links to previous audio-visual works (with password, if needed). Application deadline is November 3, 2025!
Preselected applicants will be notified by email on 9th - 10th December2025 and will be asked to submit a treatment and a personal video message providing a status update on the project (a mood board is optional) by 12th December 2025.After this pre-selection, the shortlisted applicants will be notified at the beginning of February and will be interviewed via Zoom meetings in the second half of February 2026.
The workshop participation fee is 2,500 euros per person, with an extra fee of 2,000 euros for the second participant per project, selected to join the programme (co-writer, director). The training and accommodation are covered during the workshop, while participants must cover their travel expenses.
