Hrvatski kratkometražni igrani film Vanculeti redatelja Dražena Krešića, u produkciji Woodz Production, čiji su producenti Noa Nikolić i David Uranjek, uvršten je u sklopu programa Euro Connectiona 2026., europskom forumu za koprodukciju kratkometražnih filmova koji se održava u sklopu Međunarodnog festivala kratkog filma u Clermont-Ferrandu.
Projekt Vanculeti prethodno je prošao višestupanjski selekcijski postupak. Najprije je uvršten u nacionalnu selekciju, nakon što ga je domaći žiri, u sastavu redateljice animiranih filmova i animatorice Petre Zlonoge, producentice Morane Ikić Komljenović (Little Red Dot) te voditeljice DKE – Ureda MEDIA Hrvatske Martine Petrović, predložio za daljnje razmatranje. U sljedećem koraku projekt je ocijenio međunarodni žiri programa Euro Connectiona, u okviru kojeg je Vanculeti u konačnici selektiran među 12 odabranih europskih projekata za izdanje 2026.
Euro Connection okuplja selektirane projekte iz cijele Europe koji se nalaze u fazi razvoja ili financiranja, s ciljem poticanja međunarodnih koprodukcija te povezivanja autora s producentima, fondovima i filmskim profesionalcima.
Film Vanculeti intimna je priča smještena u napušteno selo, u kojoj se kroz odnos dviju starijih susjeda istražuju teme solidarnosti, pomirenja i međusobne ovisnosti. Projekt je već osigurao značajan dio financiranja te se nalazi u naprednoj fazi razvoja.

Kad smo primili vijest da su Vanculeti odabrani za Euroconnection, svi smo bili iznimno sretni. Velika je čast biti izabran na ovakav pitching forum, uz sjajne projekte iz cijele Europe. Ovo je naše prvo međunarodno predstavljanje i s velikim zanimanjem iščekujemo reakcije publike. Veselimo se upoznavanju drugih autora te se nadamo da ćemo pronaći partnere za realizaciju projekta. The Croatian short fiction film Vanculeti, directed by Dražen Krešić and produced by Woodz Production, with producers Noa Nikolić and David Uranjek, has been selected for Euro Connection 2026, the European short film co-production forum held within the framework of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
The project Vanculeti went through a multi-stage selection process. It was first chosen at the national level, following a recommendation by the Croatian selection committee composed of animated film director and animator Petra Zlonoga, producer Morana Ikić Komljenović (Little Red Dot), and Martina Petrović, Head of the MEDIA Desk Croatia. The project was then submitted for further evaluation by the international selection committee of Euro Connection, where it was ultimately selected among 12 European projects for the 2026 edition.
Euro Connection brings together carefully selected projects from across Europe that are at various stages of development and financing, with the aim of fostering international co-productions and connecting filmmakers with producers, funds, and film industry professionals.
Vanculeti is an intimate story set in an abandoned village, exploring themes of solidarity, reconciliation, and interdependence through the relationship between two elderly neighbours. The project has already secured a significant portion of its financing and is currently in an advanced stage of development.

When we received the news that Vanculeti had been selected for Euro Connection, we were all extremely happy. It is a great honour to be chosen for such a pitching forum, alongside outstanding projects from across Europe. This will be our first international presentation, and we are very much looking forward to the audience’s reactions. We are excited to meet fellow filmmakers and hope to find partners for the realisation of the project. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to both the Croatian and international juries for recognising the project and for the opportunity given.
