O radionici

Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Croatia, Zagreb Film Festival and the International Screen Institute are announcing a two-day closed Audience Design workshop for feature-length projects in development, held during the Zagreb Film Festival.
What is Audience Design?
Audience Design is the process of identifying the potential audiences and appeal of a project as it moves from script to screen. It helps sharpen the director's creative approach, strengthens the project's positioning and originality in the marketplace, and reassures financiers and stakeholders that the end audience has been considered. It looks at empathy and ways to engage with audiences, at what can be captured during production to support this, and at partnerships that can extend a film's reach.
The workshop aims to give each team focus and a clear strategy, help them attract better-suited partners, and build confidence in how they talk about their target audiences. This is particularly valuable for teams preparing new or revised applications to Creative Europe MEDIA development calls.
About the Audience Designer
The workshop will be led by Síle Culley, an internationally recognised Audience Design consultant who works with independent producers and established production companies across Europe, Australia and Latin America.
Síle's work has contributed to international festival premieres, world sales deals, theatrical releases, and millions in funding secured from Eurimages, Creative Europe and national funders. She also advises screen agencies on audience-centric approaches, including Film i Väst, the Netherlands Film Fund and the Estonian Film Institute, and is a key partner of Screen Australia and TorinoFilmLab.
She is Director of The Audience Design Lab at the International Screen Institute in Vienna, an industry expert for Eurimages and Screen Ireland, and a member of the European Film Academy.
Workshop details
Over two intensive days, three film teams will work through the Audience Design toolbox together, guided by Síle. The exercises are designed to help each team go deeper into the heart of what they are making and get clear on who is going to love it (or hate it).
The toolbox may include:
Each team will work on a single feature-length project across both days.
